To make the event more exciting and engaging, Mr.
Andre Almanzor and John Benedict Caranay prepared a GetPsyched TikTok Challenge
short game entitled “Guess the Celebrity,” plus a lively
dance number from Ms. Courtney Calinisan (BSP3). For the
most anticipated part, among the very innovative ladies
and gentlemen, only three outshined the group and
delight. Ms. Hannah Corpuz (BSP3) garnered second place,
Ms. Patricia Alasco (BSP1) in First place, and Ms. Angelene
Rojo was entitled as the first-ever Face of Psychology. The
event concluded with warm thanks to the event's
sponsors: KkoKkopop, Makimoto Sushi Bar & Restaurant,
and Green Concrete Builders.
The afternoon session was filled with another new
event entitled “GetPsyched TikTok.” It was a contest that
highlighted the talents of SISC College students through
their content-rich and creative Tiktok videos about the
importance of mental health during the pandemic. This
event was emceed by sophomores -- Ms. Shanes Mendoza
and Mr. Louis Haban. It officially started with the Opening
Remarks of Ms. Rovin Angela Ramas, the Senior Vice
President of the Psychology Society.
To entice the audience with the creativity of the participants, all the TikTok video
entries were presented, followed by short interviews with the contestants and brief feedback
from the panel of judges. To captivate the audience, even more, Mr. JJ Jamies (BSP3) prepared
a very harmonious song alongside a very attractive dance number from the TikTok event
committee. Following this was the long-awaited announcement of the GetPsyched Tiktok
Contest winners. Erwin James Ong (BSP3) won third place, Ms. Angeli Dominique S. Pangan,
BS Entrepreneurship, garnered the People's Choice Award and 2nd place, while Mr. Danie
Garcia was given the 1st Place award. The event ended with a display of gratitude to the
judges, professors, and students who helped make the Tiktok Contest event a success. The
participation of BSBA Marketing Management and BS Entrepreneurship students was likewise
acknowledged, along with the sponsor of the event, JYU Mart.
The Psychology Society also held the
Psych-Cast -- a podcast for Psychology
students prepared by alumni and celebrity
students. This was hosted by Mr. Elijah
George Casim, a Psychology Alumnus, with
special celebrity guests: Ms. Mariko Nicolette
Dela Cruz (BSP1) and Ms. Eliza Marie McGee
(BSP3).
