Opening for Academic Year 2020-2021
(August 10, 2020)
We welcome another year filled with grit and determination! Psychology
Society Officers gave tribute and thanks to the School Management and
Administration for their consistency and persistence in helping each and every
student, ensuring everyone is receiving the best education to be lifelong learners
and movers of society, and for their amazing planning that made a smooth transition
from face-to-face class to Virtual Online Learning and Teaching (VOLT). Dr. Ruel
Cajili, the Premiere Dean of the College of Psychology, and the Faculty members also
received letters from the Psych Soc as a sign of their endless gratitude to the dean
and to the professors for always making sure that all students are learning not only
the lessons in school but also in life and for sacrificing their precious time just to
engage in all students’ activities and concerns. New and continuing students of
Psychology were also welcomed by the officers for this Academic Year. New
students were given inspirational and motivational messages as they will now embark
on a memorable journey in the College of Psychology and that they will be able to
embrace the new mode of learning in this New Normal.
Starting classes amidst this pandemic was not the ideal college life that
students pictured for themselves, so it is such a blessing that Southville successfully
implemented this VOLT. Of course, this will not also be possible without the diligent
professors who did their best to adapt to the crisis in order to safeguard the
students’ learning and academic pursuit. The First day of VOLT was indeed a
memorable day for everyone.
