organizational resilience and risk based thinking. It was recommended that SGEN schools
sustain their best practices based on the results (organizational resilience) in terms of
cooperative awareness, willingness to learn, adaptation ability, and work enthusiasm. More so,
they could sustain their best practices based on the results (risk based thinking) in terms of
establishing the objectives, establishing the context, and identifying the internal environment.
SGEN schools could adopt the model for performance excellence to ensure that there was an
interplay between the principles of resilience and risk based thinking. They could also address
the workforce and leadership engagement in all aspects of the cycle. Transparency in terms of
financial sustainability was recommended so that employees would become aware of their share
in terms of the institution’s viability. There was also a need for a strong financial management
strategy to ensure that the schools were afloat during a crisis.
