ABSTRACT
This research paper aims to analyze the Green Information Technology or Green IT practices in
the teaching-learning process of the I.T. Department Professors in the College of Arts and
Sciences of San Beda University. The goal of the paper is to study and analyze the utilization of
computing resources in an environment-friendly manner so as to minimize its destructive effects.
There is overwhelming evidence that the environment we live in is starting its awful degradation
and depletion which requires that Green IT be put into actual practice. Due to the fact that Green
IT practices are not observed, it is now imperative for professors to teach it to as many students
as possible. The participants of the research include 7 full-time faculty members with teaching
experience from 5 years to 25 years. The study aims to reduce the unnecessary energy
consumption, and minimize printing for academic requirements.
