BIOGRAPHY: He was a Swedish
Chemist, engineer, writer and inventor,
best known for inventing dynamite and
creating the awards that bear his name.
In 1863 he managed to control the
explosions of nitroglycerin, invented by
the Italian Ascanio Sobrero, by means of
detonator; in 1865 he perfected the
system whit a mercuty detonator; and in
1867 he obtained dynamite.
