MEETING CONTENT
The first session
This session will set the tone, values and expectations for future meetings, as well
as begin to build trust between your members.
During your first meeting, take the time to do:
• Introductions to start building connection
• Formatting of future meetings as a group
• Building of group values
• Topic brainstorming
• Goal-setting for meetings, the group and individual members
The templates in the appendix will help you to create the content for your first
session and all other sessions moving forward. Each group will work differently, so
feel free to tailor the agenda to suit the needs of your group members.
Content Types
It’s up to you and your group to identify the types of content and the topics that
will be the most valuable to the group. A diverse range of members will require a
diverse range of topics!
This framework identifies topics that we know group members engage with, but
your first meeting may reveal other subjects and issues that your members are
navigating at the moment. All topics should be timely and relevant to members’
businesses, the current farming season, and what’s happening in the wider agri
sector.
