Event Name: Yoga Picture Day Contest

Description:
As per the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct an event on the occasion of
international yoga day, the sports committee decided to organize a online ‘Yoga Picture Contest’. The main
focus of the competition was to promote awareness of the benefits of yoga among the students, faculty's
and interns of MCHP.

The Student Affairs and the Student Committee decided to conduct the Online competition for all the
students, interns and faculty of MAHE.Thus, the flyer to announce the event was made and released on 19
June 2021, that mentioned the details of the competition along with the last date to post their pictures
that is on 21 June 2021 . As the last day was approaching, a reminder of the event was sent out on 20 June
2021.
With the online picture contest , we shared information about yoga and few asana (Trikonasana / Triangle
Pose, Matsyasana / Fish Pose, Nadi Shodhan Pranayama / Alternate Nostril Breathing ,Ardha
Matsyendrasana / Sitting Half Spinal Twist, moon salutation and sun salutation ) to raise awareness about
benefits of yoga. A quiz was also conducted on international yoga day ie. 21st of June 2021, where the
viewers had to guess the asana.

Within the given time period of three days, we received a total of 8 pictures where 6 pictures for the
contest were from students of MCHP and 2 pictures for the contest were from Faculty's of MCHP.
The students who participated in the event posted their pictures on their personal Instagram profile where
they have tagged the sports Instagram account of MCHP ( @sports_mchp) with #mchpyogaday in their
description . The faculty pictures were posted on MCHP sports Instagram profile as they could not share
their picture in their personal Instagram profile.

The contestant with highest likes of 1,731 on 21 June 2021 at 11pm was Ms. Rashmi Sanjay Bandelwar,
Masters of Ocupational Therapy ,Mchp and thus was announced as the winner of the contest through a
flyer that was made and released on 24 June 2021.
