Our staff continue to innovate and create inspiring and engaging activities with and for our
communities. Play on the Way is a new initiative this year aimed at promoting active travel
whilst supporting attendance and attainment at school. Simply Play continued to deliver
high-quality childcare through its school-age venues and Wonder Woods nursery,
supporting over 500 children and 400 families. I was delighted to see Simply Play open a
new venue in Craigshill after a period of consolidation. We, as a board, identified ‘Social
Enterprise growth’ as a strategic priority and I’m thrilled the team managed to respond and
deliver a new venue in such as short space of time. I know the staff team continue to
explore other opportunities and I’m excited to see what comes in 2026.

I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, volunteers, trustees, and
partners. Your commitment and passion are the driving force behind our success. I also
thank our funders and supporters for their continued belief in our mission:

poverty.

As Chair, I am confident that we are well-positioned to meet the challenges ahead with
compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to the children and families we serve.
