Albeldaño new field manager for Dinuba office of NovaSource
An early evening fire just east of Reedley on June 29 burned a load of plas- tics. Smoke from the blaze could be seen from the city.

Walter Albeldaño, of Visalia has been named Field Product Develop- ment Manager at No- vaSource, the crop pro- tection business unit of Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI).
Working closely with the TKI Crop Vitality Innovation and Learn- ing Center in Dinuba and contract research organizations, Albelda- ño will manage field testing of new products and explore new uses for existing products in the NovaSource portfo- lio. He also will provide technical assistance to the NovaSource sales team.
“We are always looking for new ways to maximize the value NovaSource brings to growers,” said Jona- than Akins, Ph.D., DABT, head of crop protection for Nova- Source. “Walter is join- ing us at a strategically important time as we expand our portfolio and create innovative new uses for our exist- ing products.”
With more than 12 years of experience in agriculture and crop and pest research, Al- beldaño’s previous ex- perience includes six years as a scientist and Regulatory and Devel- opment Manager for

He has conducted research with crops in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, the Pacific Northwest, Tennessee and Texas in the U.S., and international re- search in Canada, Gua- temala, Mexico and South Africa.
Albeldaño earned an M.S. in entomology from Texas Tech Uni- versity in Lubbock, Texas, and a B.S. in chemistry and micro- biology from Univer- sidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He has both an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor (PCA) license and a Qualified Applicator License (QAL).
