A Parlier High School stu- dent was shot and killed inside his home on the night of Feb. 19.

  fired call sometime around 11 p.m. in the 13000 block of E. Bulah Avenue and discovered Chavana had been shot multi- ple times. He was transported to Selma Hospital, where he later died.
The Parlier Police Depart- ment soon requested that the Sheriff’s Office take over the investigation. Preliminary in- formation shows that shots were fired into the home, and no suspects or vehicles have

The Dinuba Chamber of Commerce honored its top citizens for 2021 at its Night of Heroes annual banquet on Feb. 18 at the new Rose Event Venue in downtown Dinuba. Honorees were Geraldine Gerbrandt, Senior Citizen of the Year; James Susee, Junior Citizen of the Year; Richard Tomanjan from Don's Shoes, Legacy Award; Baskin Robbins, Small Business of the Year; United Health Centers, Large Busi- ness of the Year; New Life Community; Nonprofit of the Year; Dinuba Futbol Club, New Image Price Award; and the late Robert Rocca, Community Hero Award.
