Dinuba High School recognized 15 students last week as Emperors of the Month under the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports program. The program looks to reward students for their good behavior, rather than discipline them for their unwanted behavior. Students were honored for having displayed exceptional character in the areas of Excellence, Maturity, Perseverance and Safety (EMPS). The September Emperors of the Month are (not in any particular order) 11th-grader Jennifer Antano, 12th-grader Isaiah Ochoa, 10th grader Raul Rojas, 11th-grader Adrian Ramos, 9th grader Jenna Lopez, ninth-grader Julian Lumbreras, 12th grader Cristobal Ramos, 11th-grader Jotzael Roman, 10th grader Aramis Hernandez, 11th-grader Nicholas Diaz, 12th-grader Vanessa Viveros, 10th grader Jazmine Gonzalez, ninth-grader Juan Yepez, ninth-grader Ashley Guerra and ninth-grader Victor Martinez.
Sanger High FFA members to participate at Big Fresno Fair
Sanger High School’s FFA has sent 71 of its nearly 500 members to participate in this year’s Big Fresno Fair, which began Oct. 2 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. To help keep them hydrated during the event, the Sanger Rotary Club donated 20 cases of water and 15 cases of PowerAde, a tradition the club has done for many years. The students will be there for 14 days and will be showing rabbits, dairy goats, boer goats, beef cattle, pygmy goats, swine and sheep.

Some of the members from Sanger High’s FFA who will be participating in this year’s Big Fresno Fair are pictured with the Sanger Rotary Club members at the school’s cur- rent FFA facility. A new state-of-the-art fa- cility is currently under construction at the high school, at an estimated cost of nearly $3 million.
