felt easy because we have so much support around here in this de- partment,” said Carlos Aguilera.
Aguilera has been with the department for two years.
“I mean we’ve had support in other jobs but only to a point,” he said. “I think what helps us is the differ- ent all around good at- titudes that we have here.”
The department’s next goal is to reach the 3,000 day mark.

“This is an event where the community comes together, friends and family and also to meet the new people who are coming into Orange Cove,” said Da- vid Lopez. “Its a time for everyone to come together, it’s a really
great annual event that we have.”
Lopez said many or- ganizations have partic- ipated in the planning and volunteering for the dinner including the chamber, and KCUSD.
“This is a great feel- ing,” said Lopez. “This is like our kickoff to the season, we enjoy it.”
