Memorial Day tributes
In Loving Memory
Virginia
Ann
(F ast)
Schaaf July 29, 1945 ~
June 2, 2020
A year has passed and not a day goes by that we don’t think about her. She is forever in our hearts and has been deeply missed by all who knew her.
She loved cats, stargazing, and her family. She passed at 2:40am, that she left us during the night sky is very meaningful. She loved Morro Bay and made that place a traditional destination for our family. She is such a kind hearted person and just a phenomenal human being.
She is someone who was known as Mom, Grandma, and Aunt V. She loved all of us with her whole heart. As we look up at the stars we will remember the joy she brought our little family.
She is survived by her loving son Matt Schaaf, her wonderful grandsons Kyle Cole and Matthew Schaaf Jr. Her brother Ben Fast, sister in law Vera Fast, as well as her nephew Clay Fast, and niece Melissa Bertoulin.
Until we meet again Mom, just know that we love you and will remember you always!
Love your son Matt, daughter in law Julie, grandsons Matthew and Kyle, and family

In Dinuba, the Viet- nam Veterans Memorial Wall that is being refur- bished was the site of an open house event at the Dinuba Veterans Memo- rial Building. Attendees were able to again visit the replica wall up close and also were served food and refreshment.
For a second straight year, there wasn't a for- mal ceremony at Smith Mountain Cemetery but American flags were on display throughout the facility. A brief cer- emony was pre-recorded and available to watch on video.
