The Warriors scored two straight goals in the second period to tie the game at 3-3, before Villareal gave the Pi- rates the lead with a goal just before halftime.
Fresno High tied the game with a goal with 3:18 left in the third period, before Villareal
connected on his third goal of the game to give the Pirates a 5-4 lead with 2:59 left in the third period.
Fresno High once again tied the score and the third pe- riod ended without the game tied 5-5.
Fresno High scored two goals in the final period and held off Reedley High.

RHS Boys Water Polo
The Reedley High Pirates boys water polo team fought hard but fell to the Fresno High Warriors 7-6 on Sept. 18 at the Reedley High Aquatics Complex.
The Warriors scored a goal with 2:35 left in the game to take the lead and held off the Pirates.
As of Sept. 25, the Pirates were 10-8 overall and 1-1 in the NYL.
The Pirates played McLane High School on Sept. 25. No score was available at presstime. They then will play Sunnyside High School on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Reedley High Aquatics Com- plex.
Reedley High took an early 1-0 lead when Jamian Villareal scored 21 seconds into the game.

Tigers women's soccer earn programs first victory

The Reedley College Tigers women's soccer team earned the first win in program history on Sept. 18 with a 4-2 victory over De Anza College at Reedley College.

the season and will open Golden Coast League play on Saturday, Sept. 29, against Cabrillo Col- lege at Sal Gonzalez Field.
Jamon Chambers, Reedley College running back, led the Tigers with 13 carries for 159 yards and three touchdowns.
Reedley College took a 7-0 lead with 4:48 left in the first quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Randall Johnson.
Johnson had 15 carries for 93 yards and one touchdown.
The Tigers defense scored on the ensuing Owl's drive when Isaiah Tigler returned an inter- ception 27 yards for a touch- down. This gave the Tigers a 14-0 lead after the first quarter. Chambers scored with 12:37 left in the first half on a 8-yard touchdown run to ex-
tend the Reedley College lead to 21-0.
Foothill College scored a touchdown in the second quar- ter to cut the Reedley College lead to 21-6 at halftime.
Chambers scored on a 71-yard touchdown run with 7:45 left in the third quarter to increase the Tigers lead to 28-6 after three quarters.
Foothill scored a touch- down early in the fourth quar- ter to cut the Reedley College lead to 28-12.
The Tigers responded with a 54-yard touchdown run by Chambers to make the fi- nal score 35-12.
The Reedley College define was led by Lazavier Moore who had seven tackles. Tigler and Calen Warren each had one interception, while James Caradine had six tack- les and one sack.

It was a historic moment for the Reedley College Ti- gers women's soccer team on Sept. 18 against De Anza College.
For the first time in the programs history, the Tigers won a match.
Reedley College defeated De Anza College 4-2 on Sept. 18 at Reedley College to se- cure the programs first win ever. The program started in 2017 and the team went 0-14 in their first season.
Diana Elizalde, sopho- more forward for the Tigers, had three goals.
The Tigers played Fresno City College on Sept. 25. No score was available at presstime.
Reedley College hosts the Clovis Community College Crush on Friday, Sept. 28 at Reedley College practice field.
They then will play Taft Col- lege on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Taft.
