someone also nominated her, and she was notified last month that she was in the running and eventually declared one of the 50 winners.
Driving Buckridge's selec- tion was her work with keep- ing the library's various read- ing programs and events going throughout the COVID-19 pan- demic.
"All through the virus, we all kept programs going," she said. "We switched to virtual pro- grams, and we provided take and make crafts [kits]."
In addition, Buckridge said the library began online story times and its summer read- ing program became a virtual summer reading program. That included regular performers switching their performances to a virtual format with virtual videos.
"It worked out well," she said. "It is a team effort from every- body...It was about remaining

are starting to gear up for out- side story time."
Buckridge said it's been exciting to return to in-person programs with the community. She's looking forward to work- ing with Dinuba families on a variety of themed family work- shops (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day to name three). She said the workshops have drawn upwards of 100 to 300 people.
A native of Lindsay who lives in Visalia, Buckridge has worked with the Dinuba library since November 2015.
"It's amazing. Dinuba is like Lindsay was growing up," she said. "It's a nice small town. A community where I see some- one I know everywhere I go. It's just a friendly community.
"The families here are ap- preciative of all the programs we have. I've missed them, and I'm glad we're seeing faces again."
Buckridge and her husband, Harl, son Erik Rodriguez and future daughter-in-law plan to make the trip to Disney World in November 2022.
