Nene Valley Festival 2018
September saw the 2018 Nene Valley Festival take place throughout the region. We were delighted to receive almost £10,000 in funding from
the National Lottery Awards for All for our Nene Valley Festival activities. We not only put on our biggest party in the park “Thrapston Jamboree”, we also held two guided walks courtesy of Thrapston Heritage. Thank you also to Cllr Wendy Brackenbury and Cllr Val Carter, both of East Northamptonshire Council, who contributed to the purchase of our new gazebos from their Empowerment Fund, for use at the Jamboree and future Town Council events. In addition to these free events the funding will now allow us to put in place new cycle racks around the town and also to create a ‘boots and bikes’ map of walking and cycle routes in and immediately around Thrapston.
