East Northants Police:
PCSO James Ferguson
It has been brought to
the attention of your local
neighbourhood policing team
that some vehicles are double
parking in the town which is causing some roads to be blocked for other road users.
Please be considerate when parking your vehicle. Would an emergency vehicle be able to get past? Every second counts when the emergency services are responding to an incident.
When parking your vehicle please remember to:
· Park close to the kerb
· Leave enough space for a fire engine or
an ambulance to pass
· Leave extra room near tight corners
· Fold in your wing mirror
Grit Bins
Having been
advised that
Northamptonshire
County Council will no
longer maintain four of the
grit bins in Thrapston, the Town
Council have agreed to take ownership of them so that services to our residents are not affected.
The bins in question are on Hortons Lane (on top of public footpath), Springfield Avenue (junction with Oundle Road), Cedar Drive (halfway up) and Chestnut Drive (end of cul-de-sac).
Buildbase of Thrapston have kindly agreed to sponsor these four bins by filling them throughout winter. We wish to express our thanks to Buildbase for their generosity.
