  Inter-Corps Championships Oct 2017
AMS 1 and AMS 2 placed 3rd and
8th, respectively, at the Inter-Corps Championships in October 2017. This was after successfully winning the Inter-Corps Title in 2016 for the first time since the start of the competition in 1994. Historically the title was only ever held by the RLC/AGC. Training was held on 25th October with Championships covering two days, 26-27th October, at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre. Prior to this, the AMS Team had a very successful week in Barbados where they played several competitive games against local teams, including the Barbadian Army and the Bajan Team Clapham Blitz in Bridge Town winning the first two games 17-13 and 22-21.
The AMS Team is very lucky to receive training from our own AMS players but also from Ms Shelley Black who has previously coached the under 21 England Netball Team.
All AMS personnel, both Regular or Reserve, are encouraged and welcome to attend training weekends and to play for the AMS Netball Team no matter what standard. Participation grows year on year and we currently have 92 AMS females in the long squad. There are training days/weekends
throughout the year, usually held in the Garrison Gymnasium in Aldershot along
with a training Camp held in different exotic locations each year. This year the AMS Team have entered a Tournament held at Butlin’s Skegness, preparing to take back the
Trophy for the upcoming Inter-Corps Netball Championships in October.
For further info please contact the RADC Secretary for Netball, SSgt Zoe Beckett, who is very keen to enter a RADC Team for the next Inter-Unit Competition.
