Stuart Weston, Ex B Company writes
from New Zealand saying that the ANZAC parade held in the rural town where he now lives was a very moving occasion with the Pipes and Drums and the sounding
of the last post. A Guard of Honour was provided by the Local Army Cadet Force. It was quite an experience to see that such a small rural town could lose so many young
men in the First and Second World Wars followed by the more recent conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. The Branch joined with the Kidderminster Branch of the
WFR Association at the commemoration of Lt E Felix Baxter VC at Mary Stevens’ Park Stourbridge. An excellent evening of entertainment was enjoyed by everyone at the Race meeting. Many thanks to Martin
and Jackie for organising the racing and
the young member of the Barnet family for sorting out the Technology, so that we could race! The happy boaters of Kidderminster enjoyed their evening on the boat again, serenaded as usual by the resident choral group!
