the Gunner team but, due to prior Slalom and the Super G as well as winning the Army Veterans commitments, they were unable to trophy in the downhill, placing 8th overall. An extremely strong
attend, a loss to the Royaal Regiment’s competitiveness.
After a long 10 days of hard competition the 1 RHA team walked away with some very credible results. SSgt Curran was consistent as ever with top 10 results in individual slalom and top 15 placings in Super G and Downhill, eventually gaining a final seeding of 13 in the Army. Lt Woolger gained top 5 results in the downhill and was selected as a reserve for the Army Women’s Alpine Team, a fantastic achievement in her first season. Capt Gregory gained top 15 placings in the individual
result from a weakened team in unusual situations, showing flex- ibility and the ability to concentrate when needed.
Moving forwards, Lt James Leigh will take over from Capt Rupert Gregory as Team Captain. He will look to deploy a team of 10 in November that will again take part in 3 weeks training block in Les Deux Alpes before competing in the Artillery Championships and then moving onto the Divisional Champs in Les Contamines. The team will look to build on the excellent results of previous seasons in order to maintain the strong traditions that the Regi- ment proudly holds as a dominant force within the Gunners and seek again to qualify individuals into the Army Team.
