The charity that helps you to stay at home – Serve is local
Serve is an award-winning charity based in Rushden that has been supporting the local community for over 30 years. Our mission is to ensure that everyone who wants to remain in their own home is able to do so, regardless of age or ability.
Our dedicated and professional team of Home Carers provide support in your own home. This could be from as little as 30 minutes a week, right through to sitting visits and overnight care.
All our caring staff are fully vetted and trained, including a DBS check (previously known
as a Criminal Records Bureau check) before working with us.
They can help with personal care tasks like washing, dressing, shaving, hair care and using the toilet, as well as medication
and meal preparation. They can also spend time with
you to help with hobbies or paperwork, and can take you out using their own car.
If you’re struggling for space, we have a fully equipped bathroom complete with hoist and bath lift. We can even pick you up and drop you off again after helping you have a bath.
As a charity we also provide a range of wellbeing services. These are largely run by volunteers, and include exercise classes, computer tutorials, craft groups, community transport, and the
Memory Café for those with dementia. If you would like any more information
