surprise visit of Amir Khan who topped a great week of regimental boxing at the Peto Cup. Amir visited the boxers in the changing rooms beforehand to wish them luck before he made his entrance into the boxing hall. It did take a few seconds for the crowd to realise who it was? Amir was presented with a framed coveted RAPTC badge for his work for Sport & Charity by
Capt (MAA) Bailey before addressing the audience and spoke of the fantastic work that the British Army carries out.
The Regiment are now fully bedded in and have hit the ground running. The Unit will host the 2nd UK Boxing Package in April whereby members will be able to choose 1 of 5 courses – Skills, L1

Coach, L2 Coach, L2 Refresher, Judge & Timekeeper and Referee and Judge. This will be the biggest of its kind with Glenn McCrory (Ex-World Champion) presenting the awards. The Unit are about to embark on a much needed spell in the warmer climes of Canada, having supported the civil authorities in the devastating oods in North Yorkshire over the festive period.
