6.5.1. Alert Button
The Alert Button has three functions:
• Pressing the button will clear the monitor Alert state. This is the most common use of
the Alert button.
• Pressing and holding the button for 5 to 10 seconds will set the Alert into Alert Test
mode; the Alert Relay will perform its programmed behavior. For example, if the relay
is programmed for Momentary Normally-Open operation, holding the button for 6
seconds will force the relay closed for 4 seconds.
• Pressing and holding the button for more than 10s will set the Alert into Forced Alert
mode; the Alert Relay is set to its active state until it is reset. For example, if the relay
is programmed for Momentary Normally-Open operation, holding the button for 10
seconds will force the relay closed until reset.
When the Alert is reset:
• The Alert State is cleared.
• The front panel Alert indicator is turned off.
• The internal Alert indicators revert to the non-Alert state.
NOTE:
Resetting the GuardII+ Alert state does not change the Alert Thresholds
programmed into the monitor; if the Thresholds are not changed and the
flux results stay the same, then the Alert will occur again.
6.5.2. Online/Offline Button
The Online/Offline button is used to toggle the GuardII+ state between Online and Offline.
As described in Section 4.1, the normal operational state of the monitor is Online, and
when Offline, GuardII+ is not performing measurements.
WARNING:
The monitor MUST be online for normal operation.
If GuardII+ is turned on, but has been offline for more than 24 hours, it will
automatically go online.
