This is the Diploma stage of your journey towards clinching the coveted Chartered Qualification
in HRM. You will receive a higher level of knowledge which will strengthen your ability to move
to the Chartered Intermediate level - a truly worthy experience.
This unit covers the knowledge, skills and behaviors required to be a Human Resource
Professional, either as a Generalist or a Specialist. The unit provides knowledge on the broad
perspective to be developed by a Human Resource practitioner and the competencies to be
acquired. The unit also explains the need for an HR practitioner to be ethical and business-
focused with good interpersonal skills.
