III.     SERVICES AND PROGRAMS


                      1.Accommodation. Accommodation into the dormitories and cottages is more than mere
                         provision of lodging to the students but one of the services of the University particularly under
                         the Department of Student Services & Development. As such, more than providing shelter to
                         the students, it provides healthy atmosphere conducive for study, social interaction and group

                         living.

                         Student Housing includes the following:
                               -    Enhancement of the physical well-being of the residents;
                                  Provisions of opportunities for social advancement by giving stress tp proper
                                  conduct and responsibilities of each residents;
                                   Contribution to the intellectual development of  residents  by providing an
                                  atmosphere conducive to study, tolerance of opinions and inquiry.

                       2.Dormitory guidelines.  The dorm manager  keeps  individual record of the residents'
                          attitudes/misbehaviors  in the dormitory with regards to residents,  proper  use and
                          maintenance of dorm facilities and conduct on cleanliness and orderliness of individual or

                          group area and personal belongings.

                       3.Guidance Program. Records of the residents' personal data, room assignment, class schedule
                          and anecdotal entries are filed by the dorm manager. The dorm manager also provides
                          incidental counseling while major problems are referred to the director of Student Services &

                          Development or to the Guidance Counselor.

                       4.Socio-cultural Activities. The dormitory officers with the assistance of the dorm imanager
                          provides and conducts social and cultural activities such as acquaintance party, open house,
                          Christmas party and other dorm sponsored activities.


                       5. Recreational Activities. The dormitory officers with the assistance of the dorm manager
                          provides for recreational needs of the residents by having indoor and outdoor games like
                          sports fests.

                       6. Student Leadership. The dorm manager organizes the dormitory Officers to help plan out
                          dormitory activities for a school year. The dormitory organization also sets some dorm policies
                          that do not run counter to the general dorm rules and regulations.•


                       IV.    GENERAL POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

                       Only bonafide male or female students of the IFUGAO STATE UNIVERSITY can apply for admission
                        during regular semesters and summer.i
