                 SCHEDULING APPOINTMENT

               1. People use several methods to make appointment requests.


               2. The request can be sent via email, memo or letter, phone call, or in-person.



               3. The fundamental data you require in response to these requests will remain
                    the same:

                     WHO         Name, e-mail address, and telephone number of the
                                 individual requesting the appointment

                     WHEN        Date, time, and approximate length of appointment

                     WHERE       Location of the appointment
                     WHY         Purpose of the meeting



                  RESPONDING TO APPOINTMENT REQUEST


               1. When get an appointment request, see if the requested date and time are

                   available by looking up the appointment in the calendar.


               2.  If not, recommend different times and dates for the appointment. Knowing the
                    goal.



               3.  Decide what kind of supporting materials are required and supply them.
