member of our Committee and above all 'my' weekly
columnist covering current geopolitics.

I'm going to miss him, we're going to miss him, a lot.

Fortunately, there are still some very much
alive and active people in my Pantheon,
such as Rosette Poletti, even though she is
a "specialist in grief" (réf. générations plus
October 2022).

At 84 (on 21 October), Rosette Poletti is a
key figure in French-speaking Switzerland.
And an indisputable humanist voice. Yet
neither her long career in public health nor the prodigious list of her academic
qualifications have inflated her ego. The lady with the beautiful white mane is a discreet
person.

And I'd like us to remember one of his mottos: "I have the chance to marvel at very
little". If that could be our message for 2024, we'd surely be happier.
