                                                              cast iron slag air

                                                                            air

After the invention of Russian metallurgists came into life,
machine builders were able to use iron casting. Along with the growth
of machine building, the production of second-heat cast iron also grew,
and now every plant that makes machines, even the smallest, has its
Section of a modern own foundry, its own cupola furnaces.
cupola Nevertheless, that is not all. The merit of the Russian innovators
who created the first cupolas is not limited to this. They found use for
broken parts of machines, and even for machines themselves, when,
for one reason or another, their lives ended. If all these "metal dead"
remained in factory yards or warehouses, what gigantic graveyards of machines would have
grown in 150 - 180 years, during which industrial engineering has existed! What a huge amount
of metal would have perished over the years from corrosion! When the inventors of the cupola
built their furnaces, it became clear that they could be fed not only with "fresh" cast iron, but
also with scrap metal. So thanks to the remarkable invention of our compatriots, it became
possible to revive used metal to a new life.
