Dobrograd-1 SEZ was opened in the Vladimir

region

Governor of the region Vladimir Sipyagin said at the opening
ceremony that the Vladimir region plans to attract more than 17 billion
rubles of investments to the SEZ.
" They will consist of various areas - a cluster of light industry
with an investment volume of more than 2 billion rubles, a
cluster of transport engineering in cooperation with enterprises
of the military-industrial complex, taking into account their
diversification, it is also railway engineering with an investment
volume of about 1.4 billion rubles. The large block will comprise
a zone of climatic equipment with an investment volume of about
5 billion rubles, as well as a block of nanotechnologies, in particular
industrial enterprises in the field of water consumption, water
treatment, and membrane technologies with a total investment
of about 500 million rubles. Also, the most important block
is a cluster of the furniture industry and a cluster in the
aviation industry," he said.
Vladimir Sedov, the founder of the Ascona
Group of Companies, who initiated the creation
and one of the SEZ investors, in turn spoke about
IKEA's plans to locate the plant in Dobrograd.
" Recently, we came to an agreement that a
plant will be installed here, which will produce and export products for European IKEA stores.
The company also plans to allocate 200 million rubles from its own funds to make this plant the
greenest in Europe. It will be completely powered by the sun. Construction is scheduled to start
in the second quarter of 2021," he said.
Earlier it was reported that it is planned to locate enterprises for the production of
furniture, textiles and polyurethane foam, as well as a medium-sized machine building plant on
the territory of the SEZ. Until 2032, the SEZ will create 10 thousand new jobs.
