                                AN APPROACH TO ENGAGE  INDONESIAN COMMUNITY






                                   In Indonesian culture, a shop or stall with a vendor in a village, commonly called
                                   warung, is a small entrepreneur way in selling variety things. In  Kiwi culture, this
                                 closely common to a dairy or convenience store. In a warung, Indonesian often meet
                                    their neighbours and having a little chit-chat while buying some daily needs.

                                  The concept of warung are used by the Embassy of Indonesia in Wellington to bring
                                 closer public services of the embassy to Indonesian nationals in New Zealand. During
                                    the tenure of Ambassador Tantowi Yahya, Warung Konsuler or Consular Shop
                                repeatedly held in a number of cities in New Zealand, to engage Indonesian community
                                                  while providing consular service to them.
