                       1. Use the present perfect progressive for an   She has been writing a cookbook.

                        or situation.                                 (She is finished.)

                       2. Use the present perfect progressive with an   A: how long have you been studying?
                        action verb to ask a question with How long.  B: I’ve been studying for two hours.

                         Use the present perfect with a non-action verb   A: how long have you known her?
                        to ask a question with How long.              B: I’ve known her since I was five.
                       3. Use the present perfect for repeated actions.  I’ve watched three movies this week.
                                                                      I’ve watched the news three times today.




                     7  Complete each sentence or question. Use the present perfect or the present perfect
                         progressive form of the verb in parentheses.
