notes from exercise 2B and the text in exercise 1A to help you. Use future time clauses.
WRITING FOCUS Using Gender-Neutral Language
Use gender-neutral language in your writing. This shows respect for both men and women.
Here are some tips for using gender-neutral language in writing:
• Do not use words with man or mankind when referring to people in general or all people.
For example, in the text in exercise 1A, the writer uses people instead of man or mankind.
• Use job titles that refer to both men and women. For example, in exercise 1A, the writer
uses police officers instead of policemen. Here are some other examples:
