THE CIRCLE OF SECURITY
Cooper, Hoffman, Marvin and Powell (1998)
developed the Circle of Security diagram as replicated
below. It was published in their book entitled The
Circle of Security Intervention: Enhancing Attachment
in Early Parent-Child Relationships (Powell et al. 2014).
The diagram is a visual representation used with
parents in the Circle of Security program. The Circle of
Security is an internationally recognized, evidence-
