3.1.2 OBE Syllabi and Scholars Works/IMs

BSIT Syllabi are outcome-based on CMO No. 34, series of 2012. The CAR
amalgamated curriculum added 30 units from the CHED required total number
of units which is 149 units. The said 30 units where distributed to different
courses like additional 11 units for General Education Courses, 3 units were
also added for the Basic ITE Core Courses, 9 Units were added for the ITE
professional Courses and additional 7 units for the OJT/Internship/Major
Courses. The said subjects were added to align the strengths of CAR SUC’s in
Business Communication in preparation for Business Processed Outsourcing
industry. Also putting premium on the industry like experience on the On-the-
Job Training or Internship subject for the students while giving students more
time to prepare for their Capstone Project.
