Return To Work Process For A Employee
 • If an employee contacts you to return
back to work from an approved leave of absence, please coordinate having them added back to the work schedule and communicate accordingly with all necessary parties
• If an employee contacts you to return back to work from an approved leave of absence for their own serious medical condition, a Fitness-for-Duty/Return to Work Release form will be required. The completed form is due back to you and The Standard 2 business days before they are scheduled to return to work. This form is included in the employee’s leave approval packet from The Standard Insurance Company. If an employee needs a copy of this form, please have them contact The Standard Insurance Company at 800-232-3146 from 5 a.m. - 5 p.m. (PST), Monday through Friday. When cleared to work, please coordinate their being added back to the work schedule and communicate accordingly with all necessary parties
• Prior to the employees returning back to work they must submit all required documents to The Standard Insurance Company. Failure to do so could result in their disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment unsubstantiated time off work.
• Keep an eye out for work restrictions or accommodation requests from an employee and work with the Standard Insurance Company for available ADAAA accommodations. ADAAA referrals should be made by emailing: VenturaADA@ standard.com
• Upon an Employee’s expected return
o work date, The Standard Insurance company will email you to verify that the Employee has actually returned to work. This is a crucial step in this process and is very important that you confirm this information. Please expect this email on the first business day after the expected return to work
