Internationalization strategy

Internationalization is one of the strategic goals of the NSSB. NSSB encourages and supports the
development of inter-institutional cooperation and international strategic partnerships with educational
and business institutions with the aim of participating in mobility programmes, developing joint initia-
tives, projects, exchanging knowledge, experience and best practices. In line with the NSSB’s strategic
orientation, internationalization activities concentrate on developing new and improving existing study
programmes and courses, in line with the most recent scientific achievements and sensitive to the
needs of the society and the economy. Additionally, focus is on the modernization of education and the
        educational system.
In this respect, NSSB strive to develop new partnerships, while the existing ones are strengthened
and, should the need arise, bilateral cooperation will be brought up to the level of strategic partnership
which implies coordinated collaboration in several different areas such as joint project management,
the efficient use of financial resources of partner institutions, joint capacity building, etc. Strategic part-
nerships are developed selectively, with institutions in the region, the EU and the world renowned for
their achievements in the field of education, science and the transfer of knowledge.

Since 2018, when the European Commission granted Serbia the status of a programme country, our
institution has started to intensify its international activities. Within the ERASMUS + program, we have
acquired an Erasmus charter and launched student and staff mobility programs as well as international
K2 and Jan Monee projects. Our goal is to expand our Erasmus partners with the EU member states,
especially concerning Erasmus mobility agreements of students and teaching staff. We are not less
interested in cooperation within other Erasmus project but also in other international projects, with the
aim of developing new and improving existing study programs, organizing joint international scientific
and professional events, and other activities in the function of transfer and dissemination of knowl-
        edge.

We have established cooperation with number of foreign Higher Educational Institutions. In 2019. we
closed bilateral cooperation agreement with the Global Studies Institute – University of Geneva, to
open their centre in our institution which is called Centre for Excellence “Dusan Sidjanski” for Euro-
pean Studies. Full information about our international partners you can see on our website link http://
        www.vps.ns.ac.rs/en/international-affairs/partners/.
Partnerships are established on the basis of NSB Internationalisation long term strategy. In the follow-
ing period, NSSB will seek to extend the number of agreements with foreign business organizations
in the global environment, and will try to include as many students as possible in the activities. NSSB
wishes to cooperate with HEIs within the EU, as well with HEIs in the rest of the world.
