2022 TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
Bishop McDevitt—2A Champions
The Crusaders won the last seven bouts to defeat Boiling Springs 37-26 to win the 2021-2022 District III M&T Bank Class 2A Team
Wrestling Championship. It was their second District team title and the first since 2018. The Crusaders finished the regular season
with an 11-0 dual-match record. They finished 2-2 in the PIAA Team Championship brackets.
Gettysburg—3A Champions
The Warriors defeated Central Dauphin, 32-30, to avenge last year’s championship match loss and capture the 2021-2022 District III
M&T Bank Class 2A Team Wrestling Championship. It was Gettysburg’s third consecutive appearance in the District finals and their
third District title, with the others in 1999 and 2020. The Warriors ended the regular season with a 21-0 dual match record and en-
ter next season with a 69-match regular-season winning streak. They went 0-2 in the PIAA Team Championship.
