A Novel Approach for processing of Bidi
as a touch DNA evidence
Dr. Bhargav is a well-qualified and technically-proficient academician with more than
ten years research and teaching experience having strong academic qualifications.
He has expertise in molecular diagnostics and microbiology, lab and field research,
data collection/analysis and project management. Substantial experience in
sophisticated research techniques and technologies. He is an Assistant Professor
(Senior Scale) in Forensic Biotechnology at National Forensic Sciences University,
Gujarat, India. His research areas include Forensic Genetics (Human Identification)
and Forensic Microbiology. He was also deputed as a resource person for three
months (From 15 July – 15 October 2019) to develop the DNA Fingerprinting Unit of
Rwanda Forensic Laboratory, Kigali, Rwanda. He has 11 research papers published
along with 2 book chapters, followed by a Patent. He has guided 4 Ph.D. students
and 68 M.Sc. Dissertations. He is also the member of Biotech Research Society of
India (BRSI), Indian Science Congress (ISC) and Indian Society for Human Genetics
(ISHG). He is currently working on two active research projects.
