Success stories from recent Midway District programs
K-State Research and KSRE Programs Helps Farmers Navigate a Downturn in the Farm Economy
Extension develops and Programs have been held locally and regionally to help farmers take a closer look
at their financial situation and make adjustments to weather the potential
delivers practical, economic storm resulting from low commodity prices. Some of the programs
include: Grain Marketing Strategies for 2017, Top 10 Considerations to Navigate a
research-based solutions Struggling Farm Economy, Farm Analyst consultations, Kansas Ag Mediation
Services, Kansas Farm Management Association, etc. These programs focus on
to challenges faced by all changes from soil sampling to marketing to restructuring debt that can and are
helping farmers.
