Alberta Smith, RMA, AHI (MO) proposed removal of CCP credit for employment. CCP should be earned,
most individuals that are employed can receive credit for training completed at work (OSHA, BLS, HIPAA,
               etc.).

Dorothy “Mimi” Roush, MT (OH) shared memories of her past lab experiences. She shared that she
               donated antique ECG equipment.

Jeff Wooley, RMA, AHI (AZ) asked the board to take into consideration the schedules of instructors when
planning the National Meeting. He reports there are dates that sometimes are chosen that prevent
those in education from attending due to class starts.

Art Contino, RMA (TX) shared that he continues to use wine glasses he received from AMT in 1989.

APRNs. She reports that schools are not teaching some procedures and suggests that someone should
look at nursing boards and what they can delegate to MAs to come up with a curriculum for CEs.

Maria Guereca, RMA (MI) First timer. Shared that AMT is a blessing and that every member is a mentor.

Susan Beard, MT (OR) Questioned if the MT credential is accepted in all 50 states. Mike McCarty
explained that all except New York due to state licensing requirements, work continues in this area.
Susan reports that there are employers that state AMT is not equivalent to ASCP and asked if the board
is working on this. Mike explained that this is a continuing concern and that letters are sent to
employers from AMT staff and Mike will also send letters as needed. Susan reports that schools in
Oregon are encouraging ASCP. Chris Damon explains we have been working on this for years. We are
seeing an increase in students from NAACLS schools sitting for our exams.

Laura Gilbert-Caret, MT (ME/NH) commented that if everyone took one exam, it could help combat

categories that qualify as “technologists”. Thank you for adding Molecular, however, she wants to see
more specialty credentials offered that are “tech” driven.

Naomi Melvin, MT (FL) Reports in the last 3 years we have made it easier for reciprocity and we are
               working on additional credentials.

Margaret Blaetz, MLT, CLC (NJ) reports she would also like to see more allied health certifications
               offered.

Kathy Sutton, MT (MS) States it would be an injustice to let an MLT take the MT exam as MT’s are
required to have a BS with specific credits.

Linda Jones-Sotak, MT (VA) shared that Barbara Ware’s husband is critically ill and asked for all to send
               cards and prayers.

Vern Hein, MT (IN) voiced concern that the AMT Events March issue published information on financial
misdeeds committed by the past president of Illinois. He feels it is inappropriate to share the identity of
