               Other items:

Dr. Fidler has prepared a draft application and cover letter to submit MLT examination materials to the
State of California. He has thoroughly addressed the California Code of Regulations and Conditions for
Approval of a Certifying Organization to Administer a Certifying Examination for Licensure Purposes in a
nearly 700-page document. In communication with representatives of the California Laboratory Field
Services department, AMT was informed that the application was received and has been placed into a
queue for review. AMT will be contacted when the application has been reviewed.

Congratulations to Dr. Fidler and Dr. Risk on the publication of their research: A comparison of two
alternate scaling approaches employed for task analyses in credentialing examination development.

Thank you to the Testing Department for continuing the publication of the Testing Department Updates
newsletter and to Dr. Fidler for sharing his update to the Board of Directors—both of which I have
referenced for compilation of this report.
