1. Seven Stone Sacrifice, great name!
Who is in the band and how did you come
        up with this name?

        Ryan Holway, Vocals, Guitar
        Chris Boblitt, Guitar
        Lee Baltimore, Bass
        Shane Newman, Drums

We had been fumbling around with names for a while
and, for some reason, the number 7 was in a lot of
them. There is a lot of significance to the number
        7. There are 7 seas, 7 continents, 7 wonders of the
ancient world, and God created the earth in 7 days.
There is also a “super seven stone” made up of
seven materials, also referred to as “sacred seven”
        or “melody stone”.

Chris remembered watching the movie Pitch Black
and, in that movie, there was a holy man that said
“seven stones to keep the Devil at bay”. We added
“Sacrifice” to the name because we knew it would
take a sacrifice of time and energy, by each one of
us, to make the band work.

        2. Who are the songwriters in the band
and where are you all from?

Songwriting is definitely a group effort. Even
if a song is mostly written by one of us, it is not when an original song comes together and that reward is why we never played covers, even
really an SSS song until everyone has added their in the beginning. Ryan is originally from Chicago, but grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Chris is
own influence. When we write songs in rehearsal, originally from Springfield, Ohio. Lee and Shane are originally from Dayton.
we really feed off each other’s ideas. Just adding a
small drum riff, guitar riff, or bass riff to an existing 3. In terms of bands that influenced you as a group, who would they be?
song idea, can completely change the feel or trigger Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Black Label Society, Pantera, Alter Bridge,

a new idea or approach. It’s definitely a huge rush Sevendust……so many that it’s hard to pin down.
