more toward a reunion of the classic lineup (they had
been playing on/off together since 2001 for Clash Of The
Titans, and a re-recording of their first two albums),so I
kind of saw the writing on the wall, and decided to go with
Nevermore. We got to work with them right away with the
video for I, Voyager, and then writing for the album that
came to be This Godless Endeavor album. That was a great
time, very busy for me, as I was recording TGE at Andy
Sneap’s studio in Derbyshire and flew in to record the
second Dragonlord album at the same time! Both different
genres of music, and it was a challenge, but I am proud the
results of both albums, and that people still listen to This
Godless Endeavor and even Black Wings and tell me how
inspired they were by my playing or songwriting on these
albums. More than anything, that has always meant a lot
to me, to be heard, and especially if people like it, that’s
even better! Ha h. We toured TGE for the next year, and I
had a near fatal health episode that took me off the road.
Kidney failure, and aneventual transplant at the end of
2006. By the time I was ready to come back, things weren’t
feeling the same with Nevermore, so I left. It was time.
One Machine came to be after all of that, and it was
always my intention that the band would be an
international band, multicultural, no borders, and as few
musical borders if we could manage this as well, but in
the context of being a heavy metal band. We have endured
a few lineup changes along the way, but in my opinion, we omega Wave toured this one as well, and had an absolute blast touring the world with
have always tried to bring in the right fit each time for those guys over that time, and every opportunity we get to play together, we do! stay
the band, with players of similar caliber, that could play, tuned for something called Bay area Interthrashional, which if it all goes according to
and were easy to get along with. We have released The pan, will be playing in some form at this year’s Dynamo Festival, and yes, it features a
Distortion Of Lies And The Overdriven Truth and The few of us playing together once again!
Final Cull, and now have welcomed Ronny Munroe (ex 3. What have been your favorite bands in the thrash metal genre? Do
Metal Church/Trans Siberian Orchestrta) into the band,
and have an E.P. we are readying for release a little you listen to other types of music outside the thrash genre?
later this year! The rest of the lineup has stabilized, and is My favorites are the Big 4 of course, I grew up listening to those bands and have even
the same lineup that played Ragefest back in 2015! We are been lucky enough to share a few stages with them, and play in bands and musical
hoping to be able to return to the UK later this year for our situations with a few of them as well, which is really awesome and mind blowing as well!
first round of touring in three years, pending if it all works But I am partial to the Bay Area- Testament, Exodus, Forbidden and Death Angel were
out in the world. I should also mention that I got a call from my faves from back in the day, though the list is deep, and the bands are many in this
Craig in Forbidden at the end of 2008 to come step into area, so it’s hard to peg just a few really! I do listen to other types of music such as
that band for a few shows, but ended up sticking around flamenco, jazz, fusion/.progressive, and just rock bands as well, blues, classical and on,
for a few years, from 2009-2012, wrote and released if the inspiration is there, why not?
