Natalie was a double major in Communication Studies and Public Health. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in
2018. In the Fall of 2017 she was part of The Washington Center program and interned with the American Foundation

for Suicide Prevention in Washington, D.C. She worked in an advocacy role and spent time on Capitol Hill speaking to
legislators, attending hearings, and advocating for suicide prevention legislation.

In her own words, she described a memorable experience, The School of Arts and Communication has allowed me to

explore my many interests from human resources and organizational leadership, to research, and its pairing with my
second major of Public Health. I have always felt supported by my professors and advisors in an effort to make me a

better student, writer, and overall professional.

She serves on the Gala committee and has supported the school’s efforts to build a strong public health presence. Natalie
certainly exemplifies the criteria for this award which is given to alumni for significant achievements early in their career

(less than 4 years after graduation).
