The Name of the Street and its Unique Character

How does one choose a name for a child? The name of “Nachalat
Binyamin” street is an interesting question that (they’re) not sure of it’s
answer.
The founders of the neighborhood decided that the neighborhood will
be named “Binyamin” after the man who will assist with funding the
establishment of the neighborhood.
Who is this Binyamin? This question has two possible answers: If the
JNF will assist, the street will be named after Binyamin Ze’ev Herzel.
If the Baron Benjamin Edmond DeRothchild will assist, the
neighborhood will be named after him.
In the end (they) founded the street with no one’s assistance, and
therefore the founders determined that the street will be named after the
tribe of Benjamin.
For many years the street was known for the many textile stores that
were on it, (that) a few of them still function today.
In the area near the street were many fashion design places and
excellent fabric stores. Over the years, coffee shops took the place of
some of the stores, but still, if you like to sew, need new padding for
your living room or just like textile- Nachalat Binyamin is the place for
you.
