The Artists Stands
In the pedestrian mall of Nachalat Binyamin, twice a week, on Tuesdays
and Fridays, an artists fair takes place, in which about 250 artists
present.
In an era of globalization and brands Nachalat Binyamin is a special
place that offers “blue and White” handcrafts, and making a connection
with the creating artist. The fair helps to keep the street’s special
character, and gives a stage to young artists at the beginning of their
journey.
So how does one get accepted to sell in Nachalat Binyamin? - An
admissions committee of the Tel Aviv municipality examines by
criteria every artist who wants to participate in the fair. The most
important criterion is that the work needs to be original and the one who
makes it needs to be the artist himself.
There is also a place kept for social organizations. These organizations
sell handcrafts of the members of the organizations and explain about
the organization.
