The Lions Fountain
When you visit ‘Bloomfield Park’, you can see the fountain.
Germany gives the fountain and sculpture as a gift to Jerusalem. A
German artist called Gernot Rumpf designs the sculpture. Rumpf visits
Israel many times, and at the Biblical Zoo he gets the idea for the
sculpture.
The fountain tries to give the viewers a feeling of peace and of paradise.
You can see symbols of paradise in the fountain: one tree, four rivers;
Jerusalem - lions; and the dream of an ideal world - many animals sitting
together.
