Ramsay’s Israeli
Lee Shamir is just twenty-seven years old, but she’s a rising star in the
world of patisserie. It started after the army, when Li looked for a hobby
and decided to try her luck with cooking. She worked in a few restaurants
in Israel and then went to study at a culinary school in New York. Very
quickly she realized she loves making desserts the most, and then got an
offer that’s hard to say no to - move to London and work at the Heddon
Kitchen restaurant by chef Gordon Ramsay, from the show Hell’s Kitchen.
There are many Israeli flavors in Lee’s desserts - Halva, figs with honey,
watermelon with salty cheese - and the British love it and ask for more.
