The Winter Olympics

A special show opened the Beijing Winter Olympics this afternoon. Two thousand eight hundred

and seventy-seven athletes from ninety-one countries compete in it. Israel is sending six athletes.
Beijing has some problems on the way to the Olympics. In the past week, [they] discovered dozens
of Corona patients in the Olympic Village. There are also political issues with the United States
which does not agree to send diplomats to Beijing and there is also what is happening on the
Ukrainian border. For the next two weeks the Chinese want the world's attention to be on the
athletes and not on the Corona or the political situation.
