When is Lag BaOmer?

Lag BaOmer is on a Sunday this year, but the Rabbinate wants to move the vacation to Monday,
because they’re afraid of Sabbath desecration. Parents are angry because they have to work and they
can’t be with the kids at home. Parents in Jerusalem think of a new idea: moving the vacation to
Friday and the bonfires to Thursday night. Many parents don’t work on Friday, and there’s no
Sabbath desecration either. Rabbi Lau agrees, the question is what about Bennett?
